Locking Mechanism

The locking mechanism plays an important role with locking the safe. The are three main types of safe locking mechanism. Key locking which is the mot simple and basic of the locking devices and generally the easiest locking device to unlock. Combination dial locks are a great simple design and are generally made entirely out of brass due to its self lubricating composition. Digital locking safes are the most common amongst the safe locking devices, quality digital locks are the most simple locks to use and can be more secure with build in time delay functions.

Fire Rating

Most safes have two main functions being fire rated or security rated. Specific designed fire rated safes generally have a much higher fire rating than a security safe with a fire rating and security rating. Most modern high security safes can have various cash ratings ranging from a tens of thousand to hundreds of thousands. Moderns security safes can also have the added bonus of a fire rating ranging from half an hour to a few hours.
